Traffic on the road near the settlement of Rechnoy has been restored, the regional government reported. Recall that over the past weekend local residents posted on social media that heavy rains had washed out the road: the soil had collapsed and traffic along the road was impossible.
On Monday, August 25, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government Aleksey Zherdev said that the relevant ministry and Vyatavtodor are in contact with the head of Kumensky District. Work to restore the road began Monday morning: barriers were put in place and necessary materials are being brought in.
On Tuesday evening information about the reopening of the road appeared on the regional government’s website. “Two‑lane vehicular traffic has been opened on the section. The Novovyatsk Road Department of Vyatavtodor carried out backfilling with soil and compaction of the washed‑out section of the road,” the regional government said.
The road will be paved in the near future as part of the "Road Billion" project.
