Tech support specialists in Kirov earn the least in the Volga Federal District, but find jobs faster.

      Since the beginning of 2025, more than 38,000 vacancies for technical support specialists have been opened in Russia, most of which are in IT (37%), the financial sector (10%) and retail (8%).

      The average salary for support specialists nationwide amounted to 60,100 rubles, which is 14% higher than last year. Candidate expectations, however, are noticeably higher — 71,800 rubles.

      In the Volga Federal District, the highest salaries are offered in Mordovia (60,000 rubles), while the lowest are in Kirov and Orenburg oblasts (50,000 rubles each).

      The level of competition in the labor market also varies. It is toughest in Orenburg Oblast and Bashkortostan, where there are more than 11 resumes per vacancy. It is easiest to find a tech support job now in Kirov and Nizhny Novgorod oblasts, as well as in Udmurtia — about 7 candidates per opening, which is considered normal for the market.

      Across the country, the highest salaries for tech support specialists are offered in Moscow (85,300 rubles), the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Sakhalin Oblast (85,000 rubles each).

      One in ten residents of Kirov works freelance, but many plan to return to the office.
