A decree signed by the head of the city administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, titled "On the closure of the Fileyskoye municipal cemetery to open burials" was published on the city administration's website.
"Due to the full use of the allotted area, close the Fileyskoye municipal cemetery to open burials," the document states. A burial permit for the Fileyskoye cemetery may be issued only if there is a vacant space next to the grave of a previously deceased relative or spouse.
Instead of the Fileyskoye cemetery, the city administration suggests burying the deceased at the Fedyakovsky municipal cemetery.
The decree came into force on August 25, 2025.
