Railway workers of the Gorky Railway completed scheduled repairs of 46 level crossings in Kirov Oblast in January–July 2025, the Kirov region of the Gorky Railway reported.
Gorky Railway employees carried out planned asphalt pavement repairs at 40 crossings in the region. At six others they replaced the rubber-cord decking. Four more crossings in the Murashinsky District are planned to be repaired in the near future.
The Kirov region of the Gorky Railway said that new crossing barrier devices will be installed in the Falensky and Zuevsky districts of Kirov Oblast by the end of the current year. They are designed to automatically block off the roadway of the crossing while a train is passing to prevent vehicles from driving onto the tracks.
