In Kirov Oblast, speeding remains one of the main causes of road accidents. In 2025, 26 people died for this reason. The largest number of fatal crashes was recorded in Kirov and in the Verkhnekamsky, Kilmezsky, Slobodskoy and Yaransky districts. 397 people were injured.
According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, such accidents often occur because drivers overestimate their abilities and neglect safety rules. Experts remind that speed should allow the driver to maintain full control of the vehicle.
