A woman was convicted of fraud involving maternity capital in Kilmezsky District.
In the Kilmezsky District, a 20-year-old local resident was found guilty of fraud involving the use of maternity capital. This was reported by the regional branch of the Investigative Committee.
In the autumn of 2023 the woman took out a loan from a credit cooperative to buy housing. In the apartment sales contract she provided false information: the property's actual value was 250,000 rubles, but in the documents the price was inflated to 587,000 rubles.
On the basis of these data the authorized body transferred the full amount of the maternity capital to the cooperative's account. The difference of 337,000 rubles ended up at the woman's disposal, and she spent the money on personal needs.
The court found the district resident guilty and sentenced her to one year of imprisonment suspended with a one-and-a-half-year probation period. In addition, the convicted woman is required to return 337,000 rubles to the state.
