As reported by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate (UGIBDD) for the Kirov Region, 14 drivers in a state of intoxication were detained in Kirov over the weekend. In total, between August 18 and 24 inspectors recorded 867 traffic violations. Among them were 27 instances of driving under the influence or refusing to undergo a medical examination, and 24 cases of driving without a license or while deprived of the right to drive.
In addition, 28 drivers failed to yield to pedestrians, 18 pedestrians themselves violated the rules for crossing the roadway, 18 motorists improperly transported children, and 151 violated tinting requirements.
Eighty-eight vehicles were sent to impound lots during the week, 36 of them for stopping and parking violations.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminded drivers of the need to strictly comply with traffic rules.
