The Kirov Elm took 11th place in the "Russian Tree of the Year" competition.
As we wrote earlier, the elm located near the former village of Suntsovy in the Slobodskoy District became a participant in the "Russian Tree of the Year — 2025" competition. Recall that this tree is already 230 years old. Its height is 11 meters.
Today the Ministry of Environmental Protection announced the results of the competition. It was reported that first place was taken by "Babushka Iva" from Rostov Oblast, second — the "Shumerlinsky Oak" from Chuvashia, third — the "Suvorovsky Oak" from Crimea. The Kirov elm placed 11th, receiving 1,393 votes.
