On Monday the Central Bank will issue a new coin.
As reported on the regulator’s website, on August 25 this year the Central Bank will put into circulation a silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles dedicated to the 10th Eastern Economic Forum. The precious metal content (fine) is 31.1 g, the alloy fineness is 925, and the coin is circular with a diameter of 39 mm.
There is a raised rim along the circumference on both the obverse and reverse. The obverse features a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions "Russian Federation", "Bank of Russia", the coin’s denomination "3 Rubles", and the date "2025". Also present are the metal’s designation from D.I. Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, the alloy fineness, the mint mark of the Saint Petersburg Mint, and the precious metal weight (fine).
The reverse bears relief images of a cable-stayed bridge, a bird, and an emblem with the inscription "Eastern Economic Forum" and the Roman numeral X against a background of sky and waves executed using a laser-matting technique. The coin’s edge is reeded.
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation noted that the mintage is 3,000 pieces. "The coin being issued is legal tender in the territory of the Russian Federation and is required to be accepted at face value for all types of payment without restrictions," the Central Bank said.
