A woman from Kirov wrote a play inspired by a diorama painting.
A play inspired by the diorama painting — one day in the life of a provincial town. The old gendarme from the house on Spasskaya Street, who watches the events from his window, will serve as the host. Gymnasium students, the student Verochka, the revolutionary Petr Falaleev, soldiers and other selected characters from the 150 figures of the historical canvas will tell of a turning point in Vyatka’s history.
It should be recalled that the canvas in the diorama “The Establishment of Soviet Power in Vyatka” is devoted to events that took place in the city in December 1917. The canvas depicts the moment of an armed demonstration of soldiers and workers at the intersection of Nikolaevskaya (now Lenina) and Spasskaya streets.
In the near future the creation of an audio play based on Nina Todybaeva’s play with an “augmented reality” effect is planned. In the audio version “Six from Vyatka” (12+) the characters painted by artists of the M. B. Grekov Studio, Arkady Interzarov and Nikolai Solomin, in 1977 will come to life and speak.
Note that the project is being implemented using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation, provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
