In Kirov Oblast, it has been proposed to build a mini‑farm for growing cedar trees.
The project envisages the creation of a specialized farm in the Omutninsky District where Siberian cedar (Pinus sibirica) will be grown on a plot of 2–3 hectares. The total investment is estimated at 9 million rubles, with a payback period of six years.
The farm will be equipped with greenhouses, irrigation systems and necessary fertilizers. The production cycle includes seed collection, seedling cultivation, their sale and arranging the planting of the finished stock. The project's implementation will create five jobs, and annual tax revenues to the region's consolidated budget will exceed 230 thousand rubles.
Seedlings are planned to be supplied to forest nurseries, forestry enterprises, landscaping and landscape design companies, as well as private buyers and municipal administrations for ecological and forest restoration programs.
According to the developers, the project is characterized by low competition, environmental significance and stable profitability. As support measures, the initiators expect the provision of a land plot for lease without auction and advisory support from the Regional Investment Development Agency.
