Kirov plans to begin renovating Theatre Square in the near future. The authorities have announced an auction for construction and installation work that will affect the square itself, the adjacent public gardens and the area around the Lenin monument, RosTender.info reported.
The project foresees the creation of a modern public space that will preserve the historical value of the area while gaining new elements. The square is expected to become a place for relaxation and cultural events — concerts, exhibitions and festivals.
The improvements are due to be completed by January 30, 2026. The contractor will be selected based on the results of the auction, which will be announced on August 26. The funding amounts to 44 million rubles.
