An investigator of the department for investigating crimes committed in the Oktyabrsky District has initiated a criminal case for intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm committed with the use of an object employed as a weapon. Thus, a Kirov resident born in 1975 has been charged with the crime. It was established that the previous day the alleged perpetrator had been drinking alcohol with his common‑law partner, born in 1973. At some point a conflict broke out between them, and the man stabbed the victim in the chest with a kitchen knife. The woman was hospitalized, and the suspect was detained by police officers. He was handed over to officers of the criminal investigation unit of Police Department No. 1 of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kirov. The Kirov resident confessed to committing the crime. The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing; during its course the accused has been remanded in custody.
