The Kirov Blood Center is increasing its collection of anti‑Rh plasma for pregnant women.
The Kirov Blood Center is increasing production of anti‑Rh plasma — a vital product that helps prevent Rh incompatibility during pregnancy. Anti‑Rh plasma contains antibodies to the D antigen, from which anti‑Rh immunoglobulin is produced. It is necessary to preserve the health of expectant mothers and their babies. Women who have previously experienced Rh incompatibility during pregnancy can participate in donation. The plasma is collected by an automated method; the procedure takes no more than 40 minutes and is carried out at blood service facilities. To become a donor, you should contact the Kirov Blood Center at 74 Krasnoarmeyskaya Street and undergo screening for the presence of antibodies and their titer. Additional information is available by phone at 25-45-00 (ext. 2).
