34% of Kirov residents support the introduction of a single school uniform nationwide.
According to the survey results, 34% of city residents want to introduce a single dress code for all schools in Russia, 17% support an individual set of clothing for each school, and a third of respondents see no need for uniforms at all.
Men are more often than women opposed to mandatory uniforms, whereas female residents of Kirov are more likely to support the option of a unique style for each school. At the same time, supporters of a single standard are roughly equal among men and women. Age also affects opinions: young people under 35 are the most likely to be against it (46%), while people over 45, conversely, support a single format (60%).
Parents of schoolchildren are generally more in favor of uniforms than city residents without children: 45% support a nationwide standard, 23% an individual approach at each school. Interestingly, fathers are much stricter than mothers: 51% of men want to see a single uniform nationwide compared with 39% of women.
Twenty-three percent of mothers and 10% of fathers have familiarized themselves with the new GOST on school uniforms, which has been in effect since July 1, 2025. The sample presented by Roskachestvo appealed to only 21% of men and 15% of women, while the majority criticized it as "archaic," "drab," and "outdated." Some called the jacket impractical for cold regions and said the suit resembled "theatrical props."
