In Kirov Oblast, more than 3,500 hectares were treated for ticks.
As reported by Rospotrebnadzor, since the beginning of August there has been a decrease in tick activity in the Kirov region. However, the risk of bites remains until the onset of sustained cold weather. Therefore, in the forest or at a summer house it is necessary to wear clothing treated with special repellents. It is also important to check yourself for ticks.
Experts noted that there is another route of infection with dangerous diseases, for example through raw goat's milk and products made from it.
Acaricidal treatments of public recreation areas continue in the region. Since the start of the season, 3,523 hectares have been treated, including 1,025 hectares of school and country camps. Specialists recommend getting vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis in advance to be ready for the next season of tick activity.
