Russian universities have finished publishing most of the orders on enrollment to bachelor's, specialist and basic higher education programs. According to the Ministry of Digital Development, 79% of all applicants (more than 1.1 million people) used the Gosuslugi portal for this.
Through the portal, applicants could submit applications online, as well as track and edit those they had submitted offline. In total, more than 3.3 million applications were processed on Gosuslugi, about 650 thousand consents to enrollment were sent, and more than 400 thousand admission notifications were issued.
Traditionally, the most in-demand field for state-funded places via Gosuslugi was information technology. Other popular groups of specialties included economics and management, education and pedagogical sciences, mechanical engineering, and clinical medicine.
As for modes of study, 74.7% of applicants chose full-time, 16.3% chose part-time, and 9% chose combined full- and part-time study.
By region, the highest share of portal users was recorded in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (95.8%), Novgorod Oblast (93.5%), Kirov Oblast (93%), Kaliningrad Oblast (92.2%) and the Republic of Karelia (91.8%).
The admissions campaign for master's and postgraduate programs continues, and some universities are still accepting applications for paid bachelor's, specialist and basic higher education programs. Where state-funded places are not filled, additional admissions begin on August 12.
