In May a passenger on the Pinyug–Kirov commuter train forgot a bag with personal belongings when getting off at the "9th Kilometer" station on Lepse Street. It later emerged that the wallet had been taken from the bag; it contained 11,400 rubles.
The investigation established that on the same day a 65-year-old resident of the Oparinsky District had been traveling on the train. At the terminal station "Kirov" she noticed the forgotten bag, took the wallet from it, and then, after pointing out the left luggage to the conductor, left the carriage. At the station the woman took the money and discarded the empty wallet. The bag with the remaining items was handed over the same day to the transport police duty office, from where its owner retrieved it.
A criminal case has been opened against the offender. She faces up to five years' imprisonment. Recently the case materials were sent to court.
