Most builders in the Volga Federal District are confident that the prestige of the profession has increased over the past 10 years.
A survey showed that 59% of construction industry workers see an increase in respect for their profession. For comparison: a year ago only 37% of participants in a similar study reported such changes, while 23% noted a decline in status.
Most often respondents linked the rise in prestige to the fact that modern Russia cannot do without builders (41%) and to higher salaries (another 41%). 39% of participants noted high demand for specialists and a large number of vacancies.
According to the study, today the "Construction, Real Estate" sector ranks fourth in the country by number of vacancies. The median salary in the industry exceeds the national average by almost 25,000 rubles.
A quarter of respondents believe that the improved attitude toward the profession is related to the development of the industry and new prospects for career and financial growth. Another 16% cited the introduction of modern equipment and materials, which have simplified and accelerated construction compared with what it was 10 years ago, as an important factor.
The study, conducted by ROCKWOOL together with hh.ru, included representatives of the construction industry from various regions.
