The government of Kirov Oblast will buy new domestically produced cars.

      At today's meeting, the head of the governor's and government's administration, Alexey Komarov, announced plans to renew the government's vehicle fleet. The decision to purchase new vehicles was made due to the critical wear and tear of the existing fleet.

      According to Komarov, no new vehicles have been purchased for the government fleet in the past five years. The average mileage of the vehicles has reached 254,000 kilometers, and the average age is 15 years, which creates serious risks to road safety.

      The need to renew the vehicle fleet arose due to the significantly increased strain on the vehicles. Government officials regularly make trips to the special military operation zone to deliver humanitarian aid. They also frequently travel to territories under their patronage.

      All new vehicles are planned to be purchased exclusively domestically produced. The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has already determined a list of vehicles that are permitted for purchase by government fleets.

      It should be noted that previously the Kirov government purchased vehicles such as the Skoda Kodiaq and the Toyota Camry.
