Starting in September, Russia will update the list of medical contraindications for drivers.

Starting September 1 of this year, an updated list of contraindications for driving will come into effect in Russia. The document has been published on the legal information portal.

It is worth noting that, in addition to existing contraindications such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and serious vision impairments, the list has been supplemented with "general developmental psychological disorders." Furthermore, instead of the term "achromatopsia," a new definition has been introduced — "color vision abnormalities" (disorders of color vision and perception of the world around in black and white or gray tones).

Additionally, from September 1 of this year, Russia will increase the fees for state vehicle registration, issuance of driver's licenses, technical inspections, and other transportation-related actions. For example, the fees for obtaining a driver's license will be doubled. This applies to both first-time issuance and renewal after expiration.
