The gas rescue service of the "KCHSK" branch passed certification for a new work profile.
In 2020, a number of new regulations were adopted governing emergency rescue services. Subsequently, GSS personnel undertook extensive work to obtain the right to perform such activities. With the involvement of the environmental department, a plan for the prevention and elimination of oil product spills (PLRNP) was developed and approved by the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources. Concurrently, GSS staff completed necessary training: studying modern methods for spill response, the use of specialized equipment, and personal protective equipment. The final stages included conducting comprehensive drills with the participation of local and regional supervisory authorities and obtaining the plant director's approval for the PLRNP. Afterward, GSS successfully passed certification to carry out spill response work for oil and oil products within the Russian Federation.
Andrey Odintsov, Chief Engineer of the "KChHK" branch of "OCHK Uralchem" JSC:
— During the certification preparation, training was conducted, including at the V.V. Nikulin Emergency Rescue Training and Consultation Center in Novomoskovsk, as well as large-scale exercises and drills aimed at practicing coordination among various services and units in emergency situations. This is another important step in ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of the plant, as well as in protecting the environment from potential negative impacts.
