In the Kirov region, "Svetofor" was caught again violating regulations.

In the Kirov region, "Svetofor" was caught again violating regulations.

      As a result of an unscheduled inspection, violations were identified in 23 out of 29 stores in the chain:

      sale of livestock products without documents confirming their origin and safety;

      sale of meat, dairy, and fish products without labels — no manufacturing date, expiration date, or manufacturer’s name;

      storage of expired products alongside valid products in the store’s refrigerated section.

      Fifteen samples of products were collected from five stores for laboratory testing. In five of them, falsification was detected: butter and sour cream were diluted; pig DNA was found in dumplings — which was not declared in the ingredients; and traces of the antibiotic enrofloxacin were found in chicken eggs. A total of approximately 933 kg of products were seized and disposed of.

      The inspection materials were sent to LLC "Torgservis 43," to the Commission for Combating Illegal Turnover of Products, territorial branches of Rosselkhoznadzor, and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Kirov Region.

      We remind you that this is not the first such case: in one of our previous articles, we reported the detection of salmonella in products of the "Svetofor" chain in the Kirov Region — a worrying sign of a recurring violation pattern by the retailer. Details can be found here.
