In a Kirov region prison, winter suits are being sewn for 7.6 million rubles.

A large contract for sewing winter workwear has begun at Correctional Colony No. 27. According to the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Kirov region, prisoners will produce 8,000 "Sirius-Titan" suits for a total of 7.6 million rubles.

69 people are involved in the sewing process. The production is carried out using modern sewing equipment, and the technological cycle includes all stages—from fabric cutting to packaging the finished products.

The "Sirius-Titan" suit consists of a jacket with a hood and semi-overalls. It is designed for winter work, equipped with reflective elements and pockets for tools. According to representatives of the Federal Penitentiary Service, the workwear provides protection, comfort, and safety in low temperatures.

The department notes that such orders help load the colony's production capacities and create jobs for prisoners. This, in turn, gives them an opportunity to acquire a profession in demand on the labor market and to offset financial obligations—such as court cases or alimony.
