In Cheptza, the body of the drowned teenager was found four days later.
Recall that a horrific incident occurred in Kirovo-Chepetsk on July 26th — a teenager went missing in the river. It was reported that three 16-year-old boys decided to swim across the Cheptsa River, and one of them did not reach the shore. Incidentally, a city beach with water safety measures and lifeguards is located half a kilometer from the scene of the incident. Search efforts began the same day.
Today, July 30th, the body of the drowned teenager was found at the mouth of the Cheptsa River. Investigative activities are currently underway.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Kirov Region reminds citizens of the basic safety rules for water bodies:
- Do not swim on "wild" beaches
- Do not dive into unfamiliar places or from boats
- Do not leave children unattended
