The defendants in the "Crocus" terrorist case were brought to court.
The attack at Crocus City Hall took place on March 22, 2024. According to investigators, four terrorists opened fire in the hall, then set the building on fire and tried to escape. 149 people were killed, three are still missing, and 609 were injured.
The investigation was completed in June 2025. The Investigative Committee collected 450 volumes of materials, including physical evidence. All four perpetrators admitted guilt, one of them expressed remorse. Nineteen people are involved in the criminal case — both direct participants and sponsors, reports Kommersant newspaper.
Today, it was also announced that one of the accomplices of the attack was sentenced to 14 years in a penal colony in Novosibirsk.
The investigation believes that the Ukrainian leadership commissioned the crime. The trial is being overseen by a panel of three judges.
