In the Leninsky district of Kirov, a 37-year-old local resident—manager of one of the post offices—was detained. She is suspected of embezzling funds intended for payments to the population. Preliminary data indicate that between December 2024 and February 2025, the woman stole over 500,000 rubles from the cash register. This fact was uncovered by officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Kirov region. As a result, a criminal case was initiated under the article for large-scale embezzlement, which carries a sentence of up to six years in prison. The investigation is being conducted by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
