Over 186,000 residents of Kirov received sick leave payments since the beginning of the year.
Sick leave benefits were received by over 186,000 residents of the region for a period of 6 months. Payments are made in cases of illness or injury, caring for a sick family member, quarantine, prosthetics, or treatment in a sanatorium after hospitalization.
The size of the benefit depends on the length of insured employment. For more than eight years of service, 100% of the average daily earnings is paid; for five to eight years—80%; for less than five years—60%. In 2025, the maximum benefit amount is over 5,600 rubles per day.
With short employment history or low wages, calculations are based on the minimum wage (MROT), which this year is 22,400 rubles. In Kirov region, a regional coefficient of 1.15 is applied, so the minimum daily sick leave payment is 737.75 rubles, considering the coefficient.
Maternity and pregnancy sick leaves are also calculated based on the average earnings for the previous two years. The maximum payment for 140 days of maternity leave is over 794,000 rubles; the minimum is over 103,000 rubles.
The first three days of regular sick leave are paid by the employer; thereafter, the Social Fund cover it. In cases of caring for a sick relative, quarantine, prosthetics, or sanatorium treatment, benefits are paid entirely by the fund from the first day.
Employers are required to submit information about closed sick leaves to the fund within three working days. The appointment and payment of benefits are made within 10 days—funds are transferred to a bank account or delivered via mail.
Additional information can be obtained by the hot line at 8 800 100 00 01. The regional line operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 to 17:00, and on Friday until 15:45.
