The press service of the Vyatskopolyansky district administration issued a statement: "In connection with the information appearing in some VKontakte groups that the site of the XV All-Russian Sabantuy is allegedly abandoned, we dare to assure you that this is not true!" At the end of the post, residents are asked not to fall for "provocations" and to remain calm, as the place is supposedly constantly guarded and trash is being removed.

This "cry from the heart" likely arose from numerous posts in public groups about the Vyatskopolyansky district. Concerned residents post photos of garbage, overturned trash bins, which were probably bought specially for the celebration, and piles of hay. In the captions, people express their indignation that not only was the trash left uncollected and unremoved (despite the regional operator reporting excellent work), but also that the hay— which could easily catch fire from the heat or children's mischief— remains untouched.

Photos and videos show that the area, which both Kirov Region Governor Alexander Sokolov and First Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Zheldeev promised would have a bright future with contests, participants, and a "good, permanent tourist base," is in terrible condition. It seems that after the celebration ended and people left, everyone collectively forgot what was said and promised.
