The capital repair fund did not fix the sewer leak at 66 Sovetskaya, despite the promise.
Communal suffering continues at the house on Sovetskaya Street, 66. Due to errors made by the contractor during the major overhaul of the sewage system, wastewater is leaking from toilets and bathtubs into the apartments. The major repairs were completed over five years ago. Already a year after their completion, several apartments experienced backflow: sewage began to rise and flood the premises. It was discovered that the contractor installed the pipes improperly, not in accordance with the project documentation. As a result, waste clogs the system and leaks outside.
Two families were particularly affected, as they have been unsuccessfully seeking repairs from the Capital Repair Fund for four years. The situation escalated to a direct line with the president. After that, the All-Russian People's Front took up the issue.
“After our intervention, the regional operator promised to resolve the problem by July 1. The contractor did come, dug up the yard, but that was the end — the workers disappeared. Based on our complaint, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit to compel the Fund to take action,” said ONF expert Dmitry Sergeev.
Currently, the yard remains partially excavated, and the threat of new flooding persists. Residents hope that the matter will move forward at least after a court decision.
