In Slobodskoy, a man will be sentenced for beating his drinking buddy to death and threatening an acquaintance.

      The criminal case against a 46-year-old local resident has been completed in the Slobodskoe district. He is accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm resulting in death and threatening to kill.

      The tragedy occurred on the night of March 31 to April 1 in the Vahrushi settlement. During a joint alcohol consumption, a conflict arose between the defendant and his acquaintance. During the quarrel, the man violently beat the opponent. The victim died at the scene.

      Afterward, the defendant tried to dispose of the body. He threw it out of the window of an apartment and tried to hide it away from the house. However, upon noticing a passerby, he was frightened and fled.

      The investigation also established that last fall, the defendant threatened to kill his acquaintance. This happened in a store in the same settlement. The man grabbed the woman by the neck and threatened her with violence.

      While the case was under investigation, the offender was in custody. Recently, the case materials were sent to the court.
