A resident of Tuzhinsky district was convicted of non-payment of alimony
A 45-year-old resident of the Tuzhinsky district, who deliberately evaded paying alimony, was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (non-payment of funds for the maintenance of minor children).
It turned out that the woman, being able-bodied, did not pay the money from June to September 2024. At the same time, she knew that the court had previously ordered her to pay alimony for the maintenance of her minor daughter. The amount owed at the time of the investigation exceeded 1.5 million rubles.
The woman had previously been brought to administrative and criminal responsibility for non-payment of alimony, the prosecutor's office of the Kirov region noted.
The court, agreeing with the prosecutor's accusation, found the woman guilty and sentenced her to 4 months in prison. However, taking into account all the details of the case, he commuted the punishment to forced labor for the same period. The salary of the convicted person will be deducted from the state income.
The woman will serve her sentence in the correctional center of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Kirov region.
