Every second parent in Kirov supports the ban on social media for teenagers

Almost half of Kirov residents consider it necessary to impose restrictions on the use of social networks by teenagers. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the SuperJob service, which was attended by representatives of the economically active population of the city.

The reason for the discussion was a draft law developed by the ministers of France, Spain and Greece. It provides for a ban on access to social networks for people under the age of 15. In Kirov, 42% of the survey participants supported this initiative. They believe that teenagers spend too much time online, being distracted from their studies and being influenced by questionable personalities.

34% of respondents opposed it. In their opinion, bans will not solve the problem, but will only complicate control. They believe that teenagers will still find a way to circumvent restrictions, but secretly, which will create new risks.

The older the respondent, the more often they support restrictions. Among citizens under the age of 35, 35% support the introduction of a ban, while among those who are older, this figure reaches 55%. Among parents of children aged 7 to 15, more than half (52%) support the initiative, while 23% consider it unnecessary.
