Prices in the Kirov region have increased by 4 percent since the beginning of the year.
According to the agency, in May 2025, prices for goods and services in the Kirov region increased by an average of 0.3%, and since the beginning of the year, the increase was 4.1%. The cost of services provided to the population increased by an average of 1.1%. Vacation trips to the Black Sea coast of Russia have significantly increased in price (plus 34.4%), the cost of staying in 4 and 5 star hotels has increased (plus 5.1%), vouchers to rest homes and boarding houses (plus 4.2%), sanatoriums (plus 2.8%).
Among other observed types of services, fees for carers increased by 11.7%, photo production for documents by 7.2%, car washing by 5.1%, and oral legal consultations on family issues by 4.7%.
Food prices increased by 0.2% on average over the month. The prices of chilled and frozen chickens rose the most (by 4.9%), live and chilled fish (by 4.7%), smoked meat (by 4.2%). In the pasta and cereal products group, an increase in prices was recorded for pasta made from premium wheat flour (by 4.5%).
Prices for mayonnaise increased by 4.4%, cream ice cream, natural coffee beans and ground (by 2.9%), bread and bakery products made from wheat flour of various grades (by 2.5%).
According to Kirovstat, prices for non-food products decreased by an average of 0.1% in May. Household stoves and USB flash drives have fallen in price (by 3.9%), televisions (by 3.7%), electric kettles and batteries (by 2.3%), automatic washing machines have become cheaper by 2%, computer tablets have fallen in price by 5.2%, smartphones — by 3.5%.
