As noted in the ONF of the region, appeals were sent to the Popular Front to influence this decision, and public activists are now collecting opinions from Kirov residents about the cancellation of bus No. 51.

      According to officials, passengers will be able to transfer to trolleybus No. 5 or bus No. 67. Considering that the 51st bus is the only option to get to Tikhaya Street and the nearby "Drive Chain Factory", it is proposed to replace it by extending bus route No. 53.

      However, trolleybus No. 5 does not take you directly to the OCM, and bus No. 67 does not go there either. "It turns out that the Fillet is not so easy to get to. In addition, with such a decision, the authorities will completely deprive the whole area of the opportunity to get to the center without a 10 — to 15-minute walk to the bus stop on Oktyabrsky Prospekt. And this is despite the fact that passenger traffic on route No. 51 is about 1 million people per year," the activists said.

      The ONF noted that, probably, the city administration is "trying to quietly return to the idea of introducing transfer routes." "We recall that in 2019, the authorities already tried to carry out a transport reform in Kirov, which involved reducing the length of routes and introducing a transfer system. At that time, several million rubles were spent on its development. A wave of public outrage forced officials to abandon this idea. Since then, every year, some route has been quietly modified," the regional department of the ONF said.
