Today, on June 6, in Kirov, on the territory of the Museum of K. E. Tsiolkovsky, Aviation and Cosmonautics, a space alley was laid in honor of the interregional forum "3 flights of Viktor Savin." According to the regional government, the laying of the space alley is timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the mission to rescue the Salyut-7 orbital station, which launched on June 6, 1985.

Viktor Savinykh, a pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, was given the right to begin the ceremony of laying the space alley. In addition, the participants of the forum planted their "space trees": pilot-cosmonaut of the Russian Federation, Hero of the Russian Federation Andrey Borisenko, representatives of space museums, memorial complexes, centers and planetariums.

"The alley will preserve the memory not only of the feat of Soviet cosmonaut pilots Viktor Savin and Vladimir Dzhanibekov, but will also symbolize the space alliance of the forum participants," the regional government noted.
