In Kirov, residents of the house on Karl Marx Street live under threat of facade collapse

      The renovation of the facade of the house No. 35 on Karl Marx Street has not yet been completed. Work began last year, but only the front facing the street was repaired. By the 650th anniversary of the city, the house was put in order from the side that tourists see, and the rest was ignored.

      In the courtyard, the situation causes serious concerns among residents. The brickwork collapses, debris falls from a height, and grass grows in the cracks of the walls. The canopies over the entrances are in disrepair, some of them are barely holding on to temporary supports. One has already started to bend under its own weight.

      Residents repeatedly appealed to different authorities and received an answer that the work was supposed to resume on May 1. However, they did not see any workers or construction equipment.

      People turned to the Popular Front for help. Experts said that if the contractor does not start work, he may be found to be unscrupulous, and then he will have to look for a new contractor. This process may be delayed due to the insufficient number of bids at auctions. Now the safety of residents depends only on the actions of the management company. The appeal was also sent to the prosecutor's office.
