Vyatka State University psychology students are among the ten strongest in Russia in providing psychological support and first aid
At the end of May, the final stage of the student league of the All-Russian First Aid and Psychological Support competitions "Human Factor" took place at the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The final of the 2025 competition was attended by 16 best teams out of 719 announced at the qualifying stages, which were held in all federal districts of the Russian Federation.
For the fourth year in a row, the Thinkers team of Vyatka State University defends the honor of the Volga Federal District in the final. The participants completed 3 different tasks. The first was a blitz survey, where teams had to find an answer to a question in the field of psychological support and assistance in 1 minute. The second task was to simulate a real situation where it was necessary to provide assistance and psychological support to three victims who played their roles better than ever. The third task is to search for errors. The referees themselves provided first aid with the errors prescribed in the script, and the teams needed to detect them and do everything right in the same situation.
The Thinkers team took 6th place out of 16 in a difficult fight. Our girls psychologists Ekaterina Chashnikova, Anna Volkova and Elizaveta Morozova showed a high level of training and skill, team spirit, teamwork and the will to win.
"The competition schedule has changed significantly this year. I think we just couldn't adapt enough to the new conditions, so the teams that came to the finals for the first time came out ahead," said Anna Volkova.
Our students were helped to prepare for the championship by the university's partners, psychologists from the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kirov region. Thanks to the support of university teachers and emergency service professionals, the Vyatka University student team has been among the leaders in terms of training quality for 4 years.
