The economy of the Kirov region showed growth
According to Kirovstat, the industrial production index in the Kirov region in 2023 amounted to 103.4% compared to the previous year. This indicates an increase in production volumes in the main industries of the region. The largest contribution to the positive dynamics was made by manufacturing industries, especially enterprises operating in the field of woodworking, chemical industry and metallurgy.
There is also an increase in investment activity in the region. The volume of investments in fixed assets amounted to 128.5 billion rubles, which is 9.4% more than in 2022. The main investment areas are transport infrastructure, construction and modernization of production facilities, as well as the development of housing construction.
Separately, the report notes an increase in the commissioning of residential buildings: in 2023, 927.1 thousand square meters of housing were built in the region — 1.2% more than a year earlier.
Experts attribute the positive changes to the support of federal and regional development programs, as well as to the stabilization of the economic situation in the country. Despite some difficulties, the Kirov Region's economy is showing resilience and signs of recovery in 2023.
