In Kirov, 24 people were injured in road accidents during the week: the most accidents occurred on Tuesday and Friday.

      According to the traffic police, 21 of the 23 accidents were caused by drivers. The rules for pedestrian crossings, speed and start of movement were most often violated. One of the most dangerous factors is hitting pedestrians: 11 such cases have been recorded.

      In addition, there were three collisions of vehicles, two falls of passengers in the cabin, as well as one case of hitting a stationary car, an obstacle, an animal and overturning of the car.

      The peak of accidents occurred on Tuesday and Friday (5 accidents each). Most of the incidents occurred during the morning and evening rush hours — from 6:00 to 7:00 and from 17:00 to 18:00.

      On the weekend, from May 30 to June 1, 14 drunk drivers were detained in the city. In just a week, inspectors stopped 1,31 thousand violations of traffic rules. Among them:

      30 drivers were driving drunk or refused to undergo a medical examination.;

      32 — did not have or were deprived of the right to manage;

      27 — did not provide an advantage to pedestrians;

      79 pedestrians violated the rules of crossing the roadway;

      14 drivers violated the rules for transporting children in a car.

      155 vehicles were also detained in guarded parking lots, including 111 for violations of the rules of stopping and parking.

      The Kirov State Traffic Inspectorate reminds: compliance with traffic regulations is the basis of road safety. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to be attentive and disciplined, especially during rush hours and when approaching pedestrian crossings.
