On the night of May 31 to June 1, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a fire in an apartment on 60 let Oktyabrya Street in Kirovo-Chepetsk. 17 employees and five pieces of equipment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations went to the scene. They promptly extinguished the fire on an area of 15 square meters.m.
The body of the 70-year-old landlord was found in the apartment. Firefighters evacuated an elderly woman with limited mobility from the top floor due to the threat of smoke poisoning. She was examined by an ambulance crew, hospitalization was not necessary.
At the moment, the cause and circumstances of the fire are being established by investigators from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and specialists from the Investigative Committee.
