
Vyatka State University - the center of the regional cluster "Electrotechnical Industry and industrial automation"
A partnership agreement was signed in the Government of the Kirov region in order to create and develop a cluster of secondary vocational education "Electrotechnical Industry and Industrial Automation", aimed at developing human resources and forming an effective training system for the electrotechnical industry in the region.Svetlana Shumailova, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kirov Region, announced that the regional application for the creation of an open source cluster had successfully passed all stages of competitive selection, becoming the winner at the federal level.
"The cluster is being created in accordance with the development priorities of the Kirov region and in order to improve the training system and develop best practices," explained Svetlana Vitalievna.
The cluster participants are the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Kirov region; the enterprises Kirskabel, Gorelektroset, Rosseti Center and Volga Region, T Plus, Sever, Kirovsky Zavod Mayak, Aspect-Seti, ELMA, Synaptic; Vyatka Railway College, Vyatka Commercial and Industrial College, Omutninsky College of Pedagogy, Economics and Law, Sloboda College of Pedagogy and Social Relations, Nolinsky College of Agricultural Mechanization, Yaransky Technological College. Vyatka State University plays a key role in the cluster.
Today, the largest university in the Kirov region has a unique experience in implementing vocational education programs at the Vyatka State University College. By studying there, students gain deep knowledge that is largely synchronized with higher education programs. This is made possible, among other things, by the fact that university teachers are involved in the development and implementation of educational programs. Participation in the cluster will make it possible to replicate the accumulated experience and create a variety of educational programs for training a wide range of specialists. These are electricians and welders, specialists in the field of additive technologies, mechatronics and robotics, web development and many others.
"First of all, we expect the cluster to develop secondary vocational education for the needs of enterprises themselves. We really want our students to come to the production during the training process and perform the tasks that will be assigned to them as efficiently as possible," said Sergey Nikulin, Vice Rector for Education at Vyatka State University.Addressing the heads of vocational education organizations, Sergey Viktorovich emphasized:
"Together with you, we will update the educational space. Vyatka State University within the framework of the cluster will help develop the teaching staff in all possible ways. Internships will be organized and professional development programs will be implemented."
Sergey Nikulin summed up:
"Now our task is to make sure that our graduates are in demand, come to the enterprises of the region, stay there to work and be effective."
