A veteran of his military donated blood to save the life of a Kirov resident
Last Wednesday, Alexander Druzhinin, a veteran of the Russian Military, donated platelets to save the life of a patient at a medical facility in Kirov, the regional government reported.
Alexander is an Honorary donor of Russia. He has received 22 donations of whole blood, 26 donations of platelets and one donation of plasma.
As Alexander Druzhinin himself said, many of his comrades-in-arms are donors and regularly donate blood to military hospitals. "I donate blood regularly, because helping those in need is one of the main things that a true patriot of his country must do. I know that the harvested blood components are very much expected in hospitals, because a person's life depends on it," said the veteran of the SVO.
Andrey Tarasov, the chief physician of the Blood Center, noted that the military community actively supports donation in the Kirov region.
