10 teachers will receive one million rubles each

      The acceptance of applications from applicants for the award "Elite of Education of the Kirov region" has ended. "This is the third time we have presented the award, but it remains the only private initiative not only in the Kirov region, but also in Russia," Alexander Churin, former Prime Minister and CEO of SE Selmash, said on his TG channel.

      And he reminded me: "It all started in the Year of the teacher and mentor. Then we decided that people who give their skills, heart and soul to the younger generation deserve to receive recognition of their merits not only in words, but also in material terms. The Elite of Education Award has become our modest contribution to restoring respect, honor and prestige to the teaching profession."

      The annual award was established by the Selmash Group, and the total prize fund is 10 million rubles. Ten winners will receive 1 million rubles each. "As before, I would like to remind you that we will pay personal income tax on the premium. This means that the best teachers will receive exactly 1 million rubles each," Churin stressed.

      In 2025, 45 teachers applied for the award: 22 teachers were nominated from educational organizations and 23 teachers were registered in the order of self-nomination.

      Three teachers decided to re-nominate their candidacies, as they were unable to be among the Award Winners last year. He is an Honored teacher of the Russian Federation, a veteran of pedagogical labor, a secondary school teacher in the village of Oshlan, Bogorodsky district, Vladimir Aleksandrovich Karlovsky; Larisa Viktorovna Yashinina, director of the Vyatka College of Management and New Technologies, and a teacher of mathematics and computer science from Chernaya Kholunitsa (Omutninsky district, Kirov Region) Vera Gennadievna Makarova.

      Tamara Grigorievna Chikisheva became the teacher with the longest work experience – more than 50 years. Elena Aleksandrovna Liukina became the youngest teacher, but already the head of kindergarten No. 14 in Kirov.

      "This year we have 8 applicants representing preschool institutions (kindergartens and child development centers). And for the first time, a special teacher is Galina Ilyinichna Domnina, who has worked for a long time in the Kirov baby House. For many years, she gave knowledge, warmth, cordiality and unconditional professionalism to children left without parents, helping them in social adaptation," Churin reports.

      9 applicants for the Award represent institutions of additional education. "These are the teachers who help to discover and develop the talents of children. Athletes, musicians, and artists grow up thanks to them," emphasized Alexander Anatolyevich.

      There are 5 teachers among the applicants who represent specialized (professional and special) education. This includes the Kirov branch of the Academy of Militia.

      23 applicants for the Award are representatives of general education institutions (schools — primary, secondary, with advanced study of subjects and lyceum type).

      "It is encouraging that the geography of the Award is expanding. This proves once again that people enter the profession at the call of their hearts, according to their vocation," said Alexander Churin.

      Interestingly, the total length of service of the Award applicants is 668 years and 2 months.

      Voting is already available via the link. It should be noted that in 2024, over 50,000 people took part in the voting. "This proved once again that the award is necessary, relevant and important for teachers! I have no doubt that this time there will be no fewer people voting for teachers and cheering for their laureate!", summed up Alexander Anatolyevich.

      He also said that the final of the award "Elite of Education of the Kirov region" will be held on June 4.
