Preparatory work for the construction of a fountain on the lower pond has begun in Kirov Park, the city administration reported. Currently, the territory has been fenced off, and the installation of a cable sewer system is underway, which will carry networks responsible for the management, lighting and sound accompaniment of the fountain. "Due to this process, the water level has been partially lowered, and now the pond is refilling. It will rise to the previous level within 3-4 days," the Kirov Mayor's office said.
As noted in the city administration, it is planned that the fountain will throw up 150 jets up to 40 meters high. The fountain will be illuminated with 200 light elements. It is planned that equipment will be installed to create a screen of water mist on which they want to broadcast videos about the city of Kirov. The equipment has already been purchased and is expected to be delivered.
Sergey Torkhov, head of the Leninsky Territorial administration, noted that the pier on the lower pond and the boat station will remain in place. The building will be used for fountain maintenance: there will be an operator in charge of the fountain show, which will take place in the evenings. And during certain hours, the design will work in the background.
The Kirov City Hall reported that fences will be installed near the Ferris wheel in the near future.: This site will be used to collect light and music structures and rafts. The main installation work will take place in June and July. And they plan to launch a new fountain at the end of this summer.
