36 residents of Sovetsk were suspected of having cancer
In Sovetsk, the ONCOpost medical campaign took place, in which the doctors of the visiting team examined local residents in order to detect oncopathologies early. The event was held on May 17 and gathered 376 people.
Oncologists, diagnosticians, dentists, otorhinolaryngologists and other specialists from Kirov medical institutions took part in the action. According to the results of the examinations, doctors suspected malignant neoplasms in 36 people.
The patients underwent mammography, ultrasound, computed tomography, endoscopic examinations, diagnosis of heart condition, respiration, and sugar and cholesterol levels. Visitors could also undergo psychological testing and receive advice on leading a healthy lifestyle.
Medical volunteers helped with the organization of examinations and told the residents of the district about the prevention of oncological diseases. In the near future, the specialists plan to travel to Vyatskopolyansky district.
