Simakov apologized to Kirov residents for the incident with flowers at the Eternal Flame
On May 9, 23,000 Kirov residents came to pay tribute to those who died during the war and lay flowers at the Eternal Flame, however, the very next day workers began to remove carnations from the monument. This greatly angered the residents of Kirov.
So, today, on May 12, the governor of the Kirov region, Alexander Sokolov, recalled this case and ordered to sort out the situation. Vyacheslav Simakov, the head of the Kirov administration, also commented on the incident. In his tg channel, he said that he had given instructions to conduct an inspection. As he was informed, the flowers were removed on the instructions of one of the deputy heads of the territorial administration for Pervomaisky district. He made this decision on his own.
"An explanation was taken from the deputy head of the TU, he has already been brought to disciplinary responsibility with depremation. In addition, the heads and deputies of territorial departments in the city districts are additionally instructed to monitor the work of subordinates," the head of the administration wrote. Simakov also apologized on behalf of the administration to all Kirov residents and guests of the city for such an incident.
