On May 9, Russia celebrated the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, festive events were held in all regions of the country. More than 100 celebrations dedicated to the anniversary took place in Kirov. Organizational support was provided by the International Volunteer Corps of the 80th Anniversary of Victory, whose members had been preparing for the holiday for several months, studying the history of the war and mastering the skills of working with mass events.
The volunteers participated in the key events of the day, and at 20:00 at the Eternal Flame they created a special installation "Rays of Victory", laying out a Victory Banner from candles.
The celebrations have become part of the national Youth and Children project, whose main task is to foster patriotism and preserve historical memory among the younger generation.
