Greenland presented unforgettable Victory Day concerts to Kirov residents
– I love your city very much, I often visit here, and I am very grateful to my long-time friend, Oleg Valenchuk, chairman of the Greenland Festival, for the invitation and the opportunity to spend the most important holiday for all Russians with you, - said Alexander Shaganov.
More than one generation has grown up on his songs, he is the author of dozens of hits that have long become popular. His songs are sung by the bands Lube, Ivanushki International, Dmitry Malikov and many other Russian pop stars. The festive concerts opened with one of the most famous songs written for the 50th anniversary of the Victory - "Batyanya-battalion Commander".
The words are well known to everyone from young to old. While singing along to the author, everyone was thinking about their own thoughts, and some of those present had tears in their eyes. In general, Victory Day is a holiday when no one hides or is ashamed of tears. After all, the war affected every family, and everyone remembers their heroes, whose fame is passed down from generation to generation.
After performing several popular songs, Alexander Shaganov invited State Duma deputy Oleg Valenchuk to the stage, who congratulated Kirov residents on the holiday and performed several songs, including the "Vyatka Anthem". This song, written by him a year ago for the anniversary of the city, became popular, and many already know the words by heart, so those present sang along with the choir. After all, it sings about such dear and dear places, about our illustrious countrymen from Vasnetsov and Green, Savin and Chaliapin, to Marshal Konev, who played one of the key roles in the Great Victory.
- May 9 is our main national holiday, - Oleg Valenchuk noted. - In our country, every family is proud of its heroes. Thanks to their military and labor feats, we live freely in our native land, build a strong Russia, raise and educate our children and grandchildren. Only spirituality, loyalty to traditions and respect for history make us a great nation that no one will ever defeat!
And, of course, those present could not ask Oleg Valenchuk the main question.: "Will the Greenland Festival be held this year? To which he unequivocally replied: "Greenlandia be!".
The festive events ended with fireworks that decorated the May sky in different parts of the city.
