Victory Day celebrations ended with fireworks in Kirov
Late in the evening on May 9, a fireworks display was held in Kirov in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It started at exactly 22:00 and lasted about ten minutes. The launch was conducted from the site at the Titanic, a traditional venue for city fireworks.
The sounds of the volleys could be heard far beyond the embankment — the fireworks were so loud that it was heard by residents of several neighboring blocks. Wartime songs were played in the background, creating an atmosphere of solemnity and remembrance.
There were fewer spectators than usually happens on City Day. Perhaps it was fatigue after a busy day: many people participated in events, walked, and attended concerts in the morning. And someone, perhaps, has already had enough of fireworks — last year was an anniversary and was accompanied by especially frequent fireworks.
Nevertheless, the show turned out to be really spectacular. Bright compositions in the sky, precise synchronization and powerful volleys became an enchanting end to Victory Day in Kirov.
